  • On Tuesday, we set a goal. Over the next 3 months, we want to make a list of all the gleaners in Memphis. 🤔 What's a gleaner? Gleaners rescue food left over from events/retail markets to use in other locations. This significantly reduces food waste in our city! ♻️ ⠀
Do you know of any gleaning resources in our city? Comment below. ⠀
A few we know of include First Congo, St. John's United Methodist Church, and the @midsouthfoodbank. ⠀
Fun fact: First Congo incorporates gleaning into their strategies for feeding ~150 people a free lunch 5 days a week! 👏 They glean veggies and other produce from the @cyfarmersmarket next door every Saturday. ⠀
